Managing Contacts.

SSDPortal provides a convenient way to store and manage your contacts for easy SMS communication. Here’s how you can work with contacts on our platform:

What are Contacts?

Contacts are a list of individuals or organizations you want to send SMS messages to. Each contact includes essential information such as their name and phone number.

Adding Contacts

To add a new contact, simply navigate to the contacts section and click the “Add Contact” button. You’ll be prompted to enter the contact’s information. Once you’ve filled in the required fields, click “Save” to add the contact to your list.

Steps

  1. Go to the Contacts page
  2. Select option to add contact.
  3. Provide information on the popup

Editing Contacts

If you need to update a contact’s information, you can easily edit their details. Locate the contact you want to modify, click on their name, and make the necessary changes. Remember to save your updates to ensure the information is accurate.

Steps

  1. Go to the Contacts page
  2. Find the contact you wish to update.
  3. Once on the Contact’s page, select Edit and modify or update the required information.

Note: If a contact’s phone number is already logged on several events (e.g Sent SMS), then you will only be able to modify the names and the phone number will remain unchanged.

Organizing Contacts

For better organization, you can list your contacts into different categories or lists. This helps you easily find and manage contacts based on their relationship or purpose. You can create new lists, add contacts to existing lists.

Create a list

To create a new contact list, do the following

  1. Go to Campaigns page
  2. Select ‘Add list’
  3. Provide a unique name for your list and create it.

Modify a list

To modify an existing list, do the following

  1. Go to Campaigns page
  2. Find the list you wish to modify and select it.
  3. Modify the list name, add or remove contacts to the list by selecting the appropriate options.

Delete a list

To delete a list, do the following.

  1. Go to Campaigns page
  2. Find the list you wish to delete and select it.
  3. Once you are in the list details, select option to delete the list.

Note: You can only delete a list if it does not have any contacts in it, or not currently running under a campaign.
